Daniel Bogen Design combines jewelers’ techniques with methods of precision craftsmanship typically employed by machinists, watchmakers, and scientific-instrument makers. To produce jewelry and ornaments, I use metalworking lathes and milling machines along with hammers, hand saws, files, and polishing materials. In constructing my designs, I favor engineering and architectural materials like aluminum, brass, plastics, and resins.

Everything that I sell is fabricated by me in my design studio in South Philly — all of the design work, prototyping, machining, and hand finishing. I use many different construction techniques, drawing on my experience in engineering and scientific-instrument design.
